How LearnBuilder prices AI — plain euros, fixed standard prices shown before you generate, and a full itemised ledger of every charge.
LearnBuilder charges for AI in plain euros. There are no abstract "credits" to convert in your head: every AI action has a fixed, published price, you see it before you commit, and every charge is itemised afterwards.
Standard prices
Creating content is charged at standard prices — the number you see before you generate is exactly what you pay, regardless of how long the result turns out or which model runs it.

Manual edits are always free — you're only charged for AI actions. Prices are indicative and may change; the current price is always the one shown in the app before you generate.
See the price before you generate
Every button that runs an AI action shows its price. When you set up a course, the wizard estimates the whole cost up front — based on the length, the activities you enable, and whether you use story mode — so you know roughly what a full course will cost (often only a few euros) before anything is generated. Accepting the structure shows the exact price for generating the lessons.
Learner interactions
When learners use AI while taking a course — AI grading of open answers, dialogue role-plays, and the AI tutor — those interactions are metered at cost, typically around €0.01 each. Before you publish, LearnBuilder forecasts the per-learner cost based on the AI activities in your course, so you can see roughly what 30 or 300 learners will cost.
Your balance
Your account's remaining AI budget is shown as a pill in the account bar and on each course page. It turns yellow when the balance is running low and red when it reaches zero. Click it to top up.

The AI costs ledger
Every AI call is recorded. Open AI costs — from the account bar, or the button on a course page — to see:
- Totals split into creation (building the course) and learner use.
- Per course on the account view, or per lesson on a course view.
- Every call itemised, with the action, the model used, and the exact amount.
Nothing is hidden or rounded away — the standard prices you're quoted are the amounts that land in the ledger.
