Bulk Edit Text
Change wording across a whole course — find and replace, or an AI instruction — with every change reviewed before it is applied.
Bulk edit changes text across all lessons of a course in one pass. Use it when a term changes ("client" becomes "customer"), when the tone should shift, or when a course reads too technical for its audience. Nothing is written until you have reviewed the list of proposed changes and applied the ones you accept.
Where to find it
Open the course, click the ⋮ menu next to Share and choose Bulk edit text. The link under Settings → Basics → Authored language opens the same dialog.
Two modes

Scope
Everything a learner can read is in scope: lesson titles and outcomes, headings and paragraphs, quiz questions, options and explanations, flashcards, drag & drop items and targets, hotspot labels, dialogue setup, slide and diagram text. Leave Lessons empty for the whole course, or pick the lessons the change should be limited to. Very large courses are processed in parts; the dialog tells you when to run again with fewer lessons.
Review before apply
The review list groups every proposed change by lesson and shows the exact edit: removed words struck through, added words highlighted. Untick anything you don't want, or use Select all / Select none and the per-lesson checkbox. Apply writes only the ticked changes.
Drafts, not live
Accepted changes are saved as lesson drafts. Learners keep seeing the current version until you publish the course, so you can open any lesson, check the result in context, and undo by discarding the draft. A change is skipped if that text was edited by someone else between preview and apply.
Tip: For a policy or compliance course, run the AI mode lesson by lesson and read the quiz changes closely. Wording that looks equivalent can still shift the meaning of a rule.
